Description

Comes with Voyager Model WWII US M10 IIC Achilles Tank Destroyer Turret Armours (PEA 436)

The British tank destroyer Achilles was created as a conversion of the American M10 by installing a new 17-pounder anti-tank gun in the turret exposed from above. The first copies were produced in 1943. Due to the sloped armor, the vehicle was difficult to reach for German cannons with a caliber below 50mm. However, its main advantage on the battlefield was high mobility, reliability, as well as a powerful gun that was able to fight the German Pz.Kpfw IV and V, and in favorable circumstances also the Pz.Kpfw VI. The Achilles was powered by a 12-cylinder GM6046 engine, which gave it a good power-to-weight ratio. During World War II, about 1,100 vehicles of this type were built. Technical data: weight 29.6t, engine power: 375 HP, speed: 51km / h, operational range: 300km, armament: 1 Royal Ordnance QF 17-pdr (76.2mm) and 1km cannon. Browning M2HB cal 12.7mm.

1:35 scale plastic assembly kit.
Requires glue and paints to complete.
Late production turret with 17 pounder gun
Detailed interior with Gun Breech, shells and more
4 figures included
Markings for Western front and Italy campaign versions
