Description

Tamiya 1/24 Opel Astra V8 Coupé Opel Team Holzer (LW)

Pre-owned plastic model kit.

The Opel Astra is a German lower-middle class passenger car that was first presented to the public in 1991 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Its serial production started in the same year and is still going on. It took place or is still taking place in several cities around the world, including Bochum in Germany, Antwerp in Belgium and Gliwice.

The Astra model was developed and put into production in order to complement the company's commercial offer and replace it with the Kadett model. Compared to its predecessor, the new car differed in style, which became more streamlined, as well as it used modernized or completely new gasoline and diesel engines, most often characterized by greater work culture and lower fuel consumption. Five generations of Opel Astra were produced in the course of serial production, the latest of which was presented in 2015. This generation also won the European Car of the Year title in 2016. It is worth adding that Opel Astra competed - after appropriate modifications - in numerous rallies and car races.
