The McDonnell-Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is an American ground attack aircraft, the prototype of which was first flown in 1954. Various versions of the A-4 Skyhawk aircraft took part in the Vietnam War or the Falklands War (1982). They played an important role in the 1973 war, serving in the Israeli Air Force. The production ended in 1979, and so far approximately 2,900 combat versions and approximately 600 training versions have been produced. During the service, numerous versions were created, of which the A-4A (the first mass-produced version), A-4F (enhanced electronics), and A-4G (training version) should be replaced.
