AEF Designs 1:35 US M-728 CEV Combat Engineering Vehicle Resin Conversion Set
Pre-owned, resin conversion set for 1:35 M-60, not a complete model.
The M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle is an American tracked combat engineer and engineering vehicle. The first prototypes of the car were created in 1963, and its serial production started in 1965 and lasted with breaks until 1987. In total, about 315 vehicles of this type were built. The drive is provided by a single motor Continental AVDS-1790 with a power of 750 hp. The total length of the cart is 8.83 meters with a width of 3.66 meters. The armament - in the basic version of the vehicle - consists of a 165 mm M135 short-barreled cannon and two 7.62 and 12.7 mm machine guns. The M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle was initially tested on the chassis of the M26 Pershing, but the M60A1 chassis was used relatively quickly in trials with the new vehicle, which proved successful enough to be put into series production. From the very beginning, the M728 was designed as a possibly well-armored engineer and engineering vehicle, capable of operating under enemy fire. Very often, the M728 vehicles were equipped with D7 minesweepers or the M9 bulldozer arm. Vehicles of this type were used in the Vietnam War (starting in 1968) and during the First Gulf War (1990-1991). The users of these vehicles, outside the USA, are also, for example, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Spain.
