Citroen DS3 is a French passenger car with the so-called class of city cars, which was presented for the first time to the general public in 2009 during the Frankfurt Motor Show. Its serial production started in the same year and lasted until 2016, but de facto - under the DS Automobiles brand - is still going on. Production has been and is still taking place in the city of Poissy in France and in the Gurun area of Malaysia.

The DS3 model was designed and put into production to replace the C2 model in Citroen's offer. Its chief designer was Mark Lloyd. Compared to its predecessor, it very clearly differs in the style of the body as well as the equipment and design of the passenger compartment. Structurally, the car was based primarily on elements of the Citroen C3 of the second generation. Compared to the C2 model, new engines with similar displacement but generating higher maximum powers were also used. They are also usually characterized by lower fuel consumption. Citroen DS3 is offered in one body version: as a 3-door hatchback. Citroen DS3 WRC version has participated and still takes part in numerous car races. It is powered by a 300 HP 1.6 liter engine.
