Description

The Toyota GT-One TS020 is a Japanese racing car that was first presented to the public in 1998 and was dedicated to the season starts in 1998 and 1999. Initially, the car started in GT1 races, but then it started in 24-hour races Le Mans. In total, only 7 copies of this vehicle were made. The GT-One TS020 model was developed almost from scratch, using the Toyota team's experience gained during the so-called Group C. The car is powered by an 8-cylinder 3.6-liter turbo engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It also used a self-supporting body made of aluminum and honeycomb composites, which increased the strength of this element of the car, as well as reduced its weight. Toyota GT-One TS020, despite starts in Le Mans races in 1998 and 1999, did not win them, although it held high positions.
