Description

The GAZ-03-30 was a Soviet city and suburban bus from the interwar period and World War II. The vehicle had an overall length of 5.3 meters, a width of 2.1 meters, and a wheelbase of 3.34 meters. It reached a maximum speed of 65 km / h. The car could carry a load of up to 1,190 kilograms. Initially, the drive was a 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3.3 liters and a maximum power of 40-42 KM, synchronized with a 4-speed manual gearbox. From 1938, the car was powered by a 50 HP engine.

The GAZ-03-30 was developed as a development of the GAZ-AA truck, a license copy of the American Ford AA truck. From his predecessor, he adapted many mechanical components or the engine. The main difference was the reinforcement of the rear part of the vehicle and the addition of a new cargo compartment capable of carrying 17 seated passengers. Mass production started in 1933, but was stopped in 1941 or 1942 due to the German invasion of the USSR. However, it was resumed at the end of 1944 or the beginning of 1945. During the war, a certain number of GAZ-03-30 buses were converted into ambulances.
