Description

The BMO-T is a Russian, modern, heavy tracked armored personnel carrier. Its first prototypes were built in the late 1990s, and the first serial vehicle entered service in the Russian army in 2001. The BMO-T is almost certainly powered by a single 780hp V-46 diesel engine. It is armed with a single 12.7 mm machine gun grenade launcher and RPO-A Bumblebee launchers transported inside the car.

The BMO-T is a specialized vehicle dedicated to Russian sub-units equipped with flame throwers and thermobaric weapons. Vehicles of this type are adapted to support infantry formations and mechanized units in the fight against enemy fortifications and in combat in built-up areas. In order to shorten the research and development time, reduce production costs, and also facilitate the operation of the new vehicle, many components of the T-72 tank were used, including, in fact, the entire hull of this tank. Thus, the BMO-T is protected by traditional armor and reactive armor, especially from the front of the vehicle. The car's crew consists of two people, and the landing force can consist of up to 7 soldiers.
