Description

Takom 1:35 Finnish ItPsv 90 Marksman SPAAG

The ItPsv 90 Marksman is a modern Finnish self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. The car entered service in the Finnish army in the early 1990s in the number of 7 units. The vehicle in the basic version is powered by an engine V-55 V-12 620 hp . It is armed with two 35mm Oerlikon cannons.

The Marksman air defense system was developed at Marconi Electronics Systems, relying on the company's electronics and air surveillance radar and Oerlikon plots. On many levels it resembles the solutions used in the German Gepard car. The Marksman system can be built on a tank chassis - this was the solution used by Finland (which is actually the only operator of this system), mounting it on the chassis of the Polish T-55AM tanks. In 2015-2016, the vehicles on this chassis were sent to the reserve, and the Marksman system was placed on the chassis of the Leopard 2 tank. The new weapon system was named very simply: Leopard 2 Marksman
