The Ultima Pro, released in 1988 as a natural evolution of the Ultima, is being revived as the 21st release in Kyosho's Vintage Series. The original Ultima used a monocoque frame with a resin upper deck attached to a U-shaped molded aluminum frame, but the Ultima Pro has changed to a double-deck style that combines an aluminum flat chassis with an FRP upper deck, achieving both sufficient rigidity and appropriate flexibility. In addition, the degree of freedom in how the R\/C mechanism and battery are mounted has also been increased. This structure is retained in the reissue, and the front lower suspension arms have been changed to the same long type as the later model of the original Ultima Pro that appeared in 1989, resulting in a wider track, and the wheelbase has also been made the same long specification as the later model of the Ultima Pro to improve driving stability. The front and rear oil dampers, which are essential for off-road models, are dial-adjustable gold type, and these have been made more practical than those of the original Ultima Pro.
