Description

The Nissan 180SX is a Japanese sports passenger car that was first presented to the public in 1985. Serial production started in the same year and continued until 1998. The 180SX model was created to replace the Gazelle S12 model in the Nissan Motor Company offer. Compared to its predecessor, the 180SX had a completely changed body style, which was much more streamlined, had retractable headlights and gave better aerodynamic properties. Engine displacement was still between 1.8 and 2 liters, but the power units used in the 180SX were slightly upgraded. The car was mounted on the Type 13S platform. The 180SX was offered by Nissan under that name only in Japan - it was sold under different names outside of its home country. Interestingly, at the same time, the company offered a very similar Nissan Silvia S13 car.
