Arguably one of the most popular cars ever built by General Motors, the 1957 Chevrolet® Bel Air® is a true American classic that remains popular with restorers and hot rodders. Highlights of the '57 Chevy® included the new optional 283 cubic inch fuel-injected V8 engine, which produced 283 horsepower in the top-of-the-line version, meeting the mythical one horsepower per cubic inch standard. This highly detailed Revell 1:25 scale kit of the '57 Chevy Bel Air two-door sedan was made from modern tooling and can be built either as-is or as a tastefully modified street version with lowered suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and special rims with low-profile tires. The highly detailed Chevy small-block V8 engine can be recreated with the iconic Rochester fuel injection system, a factory four-barrel carburetor setup, or with chrome-plated parts such as an open air cleaner, alternator and finned valve covers. - Builders have the choice of a stock or modern California-style street version - Optional mix-and-match body panels including separately molded front bumper balls, two different styles of chrome trim for the rear fins, and backup lights or cover plates - The highly detailed 283 cubic-inch V8 engine can be built one of three ways - The stock tires include molded plastic whitewall inserts for easy installation - All-new decal sheet with extensive detail markings
