Description

1:35 scale plastic assembly kit.

Requires glue and paints to complete.

The Grobe Feldjuche Hf.13 was able to feed between 125-225 men, and served the same rations to all ranks of the Wehrmacht. These rations primarily consisted of bread, sausages, and potatoes, but also a nutritious stew. The setup for the field kitchen was as follows: a two-wheeled trailer-like wagon at the center of which was a 200-liter pot, and adjacent to this was a 90-liter coffee maker. To the right of the coffeemaker was a setup to cook potatoes and sausages. Each of these appliances had built in fire doors at the rear for firewood and coal. The bread was baked in oven trailers and there was a separate butcher crew for making the pork sausages. While seemingly small, these field kitchens were very effective and important to the morale and support of the troops. Kit includes 2 cook figures and 2 soldier figures.
